Like with the human applications, I wrote down a little help page. Read it if you want, scroll down for the application if not =]
Name: Generally mixing the names of the dam and sire aren't how real horses are named. So, if a horse's parents are "Let's Start a Riot" and "Trouble with Rules" generally the horse will not be named "Let's Start Trouble". However, no reason not to name them that if you want to. However, if you're horse is a german warmblood or thoroughbred make sure to follow the naming rules found here.
Age: Okay, I'm really picky about this. Horses under the age of seven are rarely fully trained and often still considered green. They are also rarely pushed past jumping three foot on an every day basis. Horses under seven may not compete in the Olympics. However, horses ten and under are extremely rare. Extremely! I suggest horses in advanced levels of training be at least twelve years of age.
Gender: If your character isn't 21 they may not own a stallion. If the horse is a stallion they must have a reason for being kept in tact that is mentioned throughout the application. This is how it works with normal horses as well.
Breed: Here at CR we ask that rare breeds are kept at a minimum. Doesn't mean you can't use them, but you get it. This includes friesian, gypsy vanners, knabstrupper, you get the point. Also, please avoid mixing these breeds in order to have your horse look "cool" but still be able to jump five foot. It irks me =]
Height: Keep it very close to the average for the breed. Also, look at the horse in the picture you are using. If they have a rider, are by a person, by a gate etc. you can guess the height (but if you can find it, that's even better). I'll change this if the horse in the picture if obviously under 16 hh and you put 18 hh. Seriously?
Color, makings etc. Keep them common for the breed. I really don't want brindle horses on the site.
Personality: NO horse can only be handled by one person, so don't say that. No horse jumps just because they feel like it. Just be realistic and base it off real horses.
History: Abuse and neglect is bad, and generally points to a horse and rider combination that isn't really thought out. You can use it, but explain it fully.
