overall personality , Now out of his prime, but once great, Mint is great, especially for a stallion. Sure, he has his vices and troubles but it really isn’t much to worry about. He rides well and uses very little by way of aids, no artificial aids ever being needed. He wants to please and loves to be told he is being good, still, he tends to be spooky, especially out on the cross-country course. Over the years, though, Blake has learned what he is scared of and knows how to work with it. It hasn’t been too much of a problem in years. Mint tends to be a very one person horse, Blake of course being his person but as Blake is the only one who rides or works with him it doesn’t really seem to be much of a problem. However, like any stallion, Mint can really be a pain from time to time, especially during breeding season. He will kick while being ridden with other horses in the ring and will bite if you’re not careful.

history , Mint, luckily, wasn’t the first stallion Blake ever owned. Blake got his hands on Mint when the horse was fourteen years old, right in the middle of his prime. Before this Mint was born to a Dutch Warmblood breeder and, knowing that his blood line was amazing, kept him as a stallion, but didn’t have the room at the stable for another stallion and sold him to a well known warmblood trainer. Mint was trained very well in three day eventing before being sold to Blake’s trainer, when Blake started to compete on him. Right away the two didn’t get along at all, but after a year the two were winning everything they went to. Now Mint is retired, but Blake didn’t want to get rid of the first horse that brought him to the top of the charts so they kept him, breeding him to keep him earning his keep.
