height , 5'1"

basic appearance, Fair, flawless skin, and bright red hair, not of the natural sort. Melody looks like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, minus the fin. Her hair color changes according to the bottle, but usually is red, orange or blonde. Her natural hair color is actually strawberry blonde ( (I don't know if that is Hayley Williams natural hair color or not.) She usually keeps it cut in layers that reach her shoulders, a maybe a bit below. Her bangs are usually wispy, and frame her young, childlike face.
Her eyes are hazel, and have an almost almond shape. Her eyelashes are very short, and her eyebrows a bit dark. Melody has a small nose that is very pixie-like, but is a little bit asymmetrical. Her face is very round, and she has a thin upper lip, while the bottom is more full. Her teeth are naturally straight, but there is a noticeable gap between her two front teeth. Overall, she has a tomboyish, girl next door quality.
Melody is rather short, as most of the women in her family are. Her breasts aren't very big, but no one would really ever notice if they were, because she is constantly wearing hoodies, and baggy t-shirts. Her feet are a little big for her, and make her rather clumsy, or maybe they are normal sized, and she is just a klutz. She is curvy, and built well due to being raised with three brothers and running around a lot.
physical flaws, There is a gap between her two front teeth.
She is rather short.
She has small eyes and ears.

likes , Music is Melody's life. She can sing, play piano, and play guitar. She reads, but all of her books are kept in piles, while her bookcases are filled with CD's of every genre known to man.
She loves to go outside and get dirty. She's always for a game of football, or soccer. She played rugby from middle school to her Junior year.
Coffee. Melody cannot start her day without having a cup of hot coffee, and has been told she makes the best cup o' Joe ever.
Melody loves to wear make-up, and will often play around with different styles and colors. She has a box full of stage and costume make-up, regular make-up, bold eye-shadow's and lots of eyeliner. When she gets really bored, she will use her face as an easel.
Painting. Melody has painted the walls in her room so many time that her stuff permanently smells like paint. Her dresser, bookshelf, bed frame and and other furniture in her room are all painted by her.
dislikes , She doesn't like cats, mainly because her entire family is allergic.
Melody is petrified of heights.
The sound of an alarm clock is her least favorite sound in the world.
She will not, ever eat Sushi.
She wont take medications, and hasn't since she got the flu when she was 7.
overall personality , Melody is loud, crazy, and fun to be around. She can drink with the best of them, and dance until the sun comes up. Her laugh is obnoxious, yet contagious, and if you don't like her when you first meet her, you'll acquire the taste for her. If she's not in a social situation, there are always headphones in her ears, and she will dance while she waits in line somewhere. It is obvious, to anyone, that she doesn't give a damn about what anyone thinks of her. She will be your BFF for life, if you just give her a chance.
She rarely, if ever, gets mad about anything. She can be sarcastic as hell, but actually pissing her off takes talent. Though she is one of the most outgoing people you will ever meet, it takes a while to ever learn anything about her. Sure, you can learn her age, her siblings names, where she was born and where she went to high school. But if you ask anything about her family, all you will learn is her parents divorced when she was young, and she has three older brothers. Melody would much rather listen to someones history than tell anything about hers.
Secretly, she is one of the softest spoken people ever. While she's out around people, she's as loud as can be, but when she gets home, she slips away, and becomes a hermit, curling up on the couch with her dogs. She almost seems like a ghost wondering through her home. The dogs never seem to mind, they just follow her around, and happily snuggle. Of course, before she gets home, they are running through the house, chasing each other.
She doesn't really like her family. She managed to get a scholarship to college, joining the choir and playing the piano, and for her grades, and only talks to them on holidays now. She hates talking about them and avoids the subject whenever she can. Her brothers though, are a different story. She will talk to, or visit them whenever she can.

history , Delphinium was born in Baltimore, Maryland to a family of three boys, and a happy couple, Ben and Nicole. Nicole was a beautiful woman with bright red hair and green eyes. Ben was a hard looking man, obviously a construction worker or something. He had dark hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin. With Nicole's dainty, dancer body, and Ben's hard, muscular exterior, they were perfect for each other. Everything about them seemed like they were destined to be together. They even told the story of how they met to their new baby girl every night. She was a young school teacher, only in her early twenties, and he was a construction worker, doing a job on her way home from work. He always wore her hair in a pretty bun, and had the most lovely dresses that would catch anyones eye. She had grown used to the whistles and calls she heard while walking by the construction site, and thought nothing of it when a man yelled "Hey! Look out!" in her direction. She just walked by, her usual pace, her usual posture. She didn't hear the loud cracking sound of a large wooden beam falling towards her what felt like a rock knocked her out of the way, and to the ground. She was appalled by the big mans behavior until she heard the crash. The broken beam fell right where she had been walking. With adrenaline pumping, and such close bodies, they both secretly figured it must be fate, and a week later, they were a couple.
Of course, there is no such thing as a perfect love story, and when Melody was five, Ben and Nicole got a divorce. Though they both made it clear that their split was not because of the children, Melody always thought that it was her weight that broke the camels back, and split the camel in two.
After the divorce, her father moved too a development outside of Baltimore so the kids could see him a lot. He would take them all out to eat whenever he could, and let them spend the night in his townhouse. He wasn't nearly as strict as their mother, mainly because he was afraid they would blame him or something for the split. They didn't, they just loved spending time with their father, like any young children would.
Because they were the closest in age, Caleb and Melody became very close. They were only a year apart, so it was easy for them to have the same friends and like the same music. They were often mistaken for boyfriend and girlfriend, because they really didn't look anything alike. Where Melody was a strawberry blonde, Caleb's hair was almost black. Melody's eyes were hazel, Caleb's were brown. Pale, and tanned, slender and athletic. You get the picture. Sure, Melody liked her older brothers, they took her to baseball games, played basketball with her, taught her how to play poker. But she and Caleb were best friends.
Though Melody and her brothers were really close, her relationship with her mom and dad quickly faded when she was 10. They had become distracted by dating, and her dad was already married. Ever since the divorce, Melody felt like she was fading into the background. She tried to get their attention. She got good grades, solos in chorus, entered the talent show, joined drama, did great in rugby and even worked harder in her dance class. When she finally realized that doing well wouldn't get her the attention a girl of her age craved, she started getting into trouble. Where she would normally blow off get picked on for wearing her brothers hand-me-downs (with a teacher and construction workers budget it was hard to afford new clothes for a growing girl) she would give the mean girl who said something a shiner. Her grades slipped and she started sneaking out at night to party when she got older. Her parents then paid attention to her. They grounded her, and yelled at her. It wasn't good attention, but it was better than practically being ignored.
When Melody was in her Freshman year of college, Caleb's life was going downhill. She rarely knew where he was, or if he was even alive. When she did manage to make contact with him, it was a very short conversation, and Caleb was rarely coherent. He'd really gotten into drugs, and his life was a mess. He mainly lived in abandoned homes, stealing and keeping horribly paying jobs to pay for his next fix. Melody wasn't happy with the way he lived, and when she got a job, and she knew where he was, she would send him money, hoping he would get his life together like he often promised. Of course, these promise's were lies, and he spend the money on more drugs.
The last time Melody saw Caleb was her Sophomore year of college. He was living in an abandoned warehouse in Towson, where Melody was in college. She would give him money, keeping herself blissfully unaware of what he was doing with it. She'd take him out to dinner, and let him stay in her dorm some night. They would walk through the park together, just talking. Melody felt like they were kids again. One morning, Caleb and Melody had plans to have breakfast. Caleb never showed up, and when she went to the warehouse to find him, all his things were gone. She knew he'd just moved to another town, probably finding a job. Or maybe they'd been kicked out of the warehouse, found by the owner visiting his property.
Melody went into college, unsure of what she wanted to do with herself. She was smart, but not really interested in any specific subject. Eventually she decided to major in psychology, and minor in criminology. When she finished, she moved to Chicago, and became a cop. She got a job, not where she wanted. She just works at a desk. Of course, music has always been her dream, and she still sings. She goes to local bars, and sings at their open mic night.
