overall personality , Al-Hawa is a seasoned and exotic mare and that is apparent enough in her behavior. She is playful only with select few people and horses and shuns all others, though is a very affectionate and intelligent mare. She’s trained extraordinarily well and is extremely yet subtly talented, having a very good attitude under saddle. However should an unfamiliar rider get on expecting an easy ride Al-Hawa can be one step forwards and two steps back and is by no means a children’s horse nor a push button horse. When she’s on, she’s on, when she’s not it’s best to just put her away. She is very spirited yet due to years of halter is very easy to deal with in hand yet is just as hot blooded if not more so than the average Arabian.

history , Born in Suez, Egypt, Al-Hawa was a foal that Isis McMillan had spent years searching for. Selecting mares and stallions, all of the horses before and after Al-Hawa were good horses, but Al-Hawa was the cream of the crop. Talented, typey, near perfect conformation, beautiful and spirited. She was born with a dark red legendary Bedouin mark of the bloody shoulder, which has made her a sought after brood mare, as did her illustrious career as Isis’ show horse. The mare was treated to only the best, and continues to garner such treatment even after Isis’ death four years ago. However where Al-Hawa was due to be bred at age 12, Sonny didn’t have it in him to risk his mother’s favorite and only remaining horse after his father’s sale of all the rest. So Al-Hawa has resided in Caramel Rivers, the mare that every Arabian stallion owner would pay to have foal, unbred and in retirement.
