basic appearance, Jamie is one of those guys with a wonderfully charming appearance that tends to only help him with his sexual tendencies. He falls under the general category of "tall, dark, and handsome." At 6'1" he isn't overly tall, but his especially thin frame makes him look taller than he is, and because he is as tall as he is, he looks even thinner than he really is. It's the vicious cycle that generally only 15 year old boys find themselves in. However, for Jamie, there is no awkwardness for Jamie, because he makes a point of staying extremely fit, which he does quite easily, considering he has nothing but time on his hands.
His hair is a sort of dirty blonde, and has the slightest curl to it, which gives him an almost "cute" appearance. It looks like he spends a lot of time on it every morning, but truthfully, he spends nothing more than five minutes every morning, and that's only on bad days. It takes him nothing but a little styling gel, and running his fingers through his hair and that gets the job done. If, in the off chance, you catch him before he's had time to get himself ready for the day, he looks almost shaggy due to the fact that his hair is slightly longer than most would think seeing him when it is styled.
His eyes are light blue or gray depending on the light, and always appear to have a devious smirk, though rarely, if ever, express any other emotion besides that, and it is absolutely intentional. He does have slightly fuller lips than most men, but it isn't quite over-bearing. Noticeable, but not enough to be considered a flaw. He also has a quite prominent jaw line which tends to make his head a bit large, and it isn't helped by his impossibly thin body structure either. He is definitely not an athlete, despite how fit he is, and looks every bit the Hollywood style millionaire that he is.
physical flaws,
*Overly thin and has to work hard at not falling below the "healthy weight" margin.
*Overly prominent jawline making his head look larger than it is.
*Everything on the left side of his face is slightly lower than on the right.
*Thick, overbearing eyebrows

overall personality , Really, to describe the general overall appearance, only two words are needed: Hollywood millionaire. Yes, James Michael Colburn falls into the category of a rich jackass. Even at a young age, he had no interest in the less glamorous life style. Growing up with a half-brother who was obsessed with football, Jamie did the sports thing for a while, but by the time he reached high school, he had decided he hated it. Much too... dirty for him. Not to mention it would require a lot more brawn than Jamie was capable of obtaining. He was by no means homosexual, certainly not, but he was far more interested in the life of the rich and famous than anything.
It is nearly impossible to find him at home because he is almost always out partying... or if he is at home he's probably in the bedroom getting down and dirty with some girl hr brought home and won't answer the door anyway. He lives for the night and the activities that go on there, especially partying. He is a heavy drinker, and despite how thin he is, holds his liquor well, and is definitely not a light weight when it comes to that. As far as relationships go... the closest thing he's ever had to one was that girl he had a crush on when he was in fifth grade. In other words, the only use he has for women is sex, filling the parts in his scripts, and other such trivial amusements. Yes, he is a player, and yes, he is a jerk who has broken more than one heart and never felt a twinge of guilt over it.
Of course, he has a secret collection of things that really get to him... like kids or talking about parents or death... but no one is supposed to know about that. He prefers that everyone see him as the rich jerk that he personifies himself as. Untouchable, impossible to faze, and, of course, much too good for the rest of the world. He has more money than he knows what to do with, and because of it, lives a very lavish lifestyle that most people only dream of ever having. He's not afraid to flaunt what he has, and everything about him simply screams that he is very well off. He's the sort o guy who pulls up in the ridiculously expensive car wearing the "cool guy" shades, gets into all the clubs through the VIP entrance, and almost everybody dreams of being someday.

history , Life, for Jamie as a kid, started out pretty rough. His parents were very much in love, and definitely loved him, but when a car accident put his dad on life support when Jamie was only six years old, it felt like his world was suddenly turned up side down. Seeing as his parents weren't married, the decision on whether or not to keep his dad alive went to his dad's parents, and being rather selfish individuals, they chose to take him off life support, and thus end his life. They tried to talk Jamie out of being there when they did, but being the world's most stubborn six year old on the face of the earth, he downright refused to leave. It hurt a lot, and he never fully understood why they weren't keeping his dad alive anymore, but he stayed there with his mom and watched his dad die, which honestly sort of traumatized him, though he would never admit it.
A few years later, Peyton, his mom, got married to a man who had an adopted son and a daughter. Chuck was a year younger than Jamie, but the two of them caused more trouble than they were worth. Jamie adjusted to life with a new dad rather well, but there was something about him that just wasn't like most kids. He was far less interested in everything else that kids were interested in than the things the adults did and talked about. Some said it was almost scary, the way he would play along with Chuck's football fetish, but was obviously always up to something bigger.... something better.
When high school rolled around, Jamie was Mr. Popular, which seriously ticked off all the jocks who worked so hard to impress the ladies, and all Jamie had to do was walk in the door and they flocked to him. He, of course, enjoyed every bit of their "agony" and knowing he had that kind of power over the people around him. He was very persuasive when he wanted to be, and he pretty much always wanted to be. That was when it became more evident, what was so different about him. He enjoyed the suffering of other people. Not in a twisted disgusting morbid way, certainly not. He didn't enjoy seeing peoples lives ruined by disasters or anything like that... he just enjoyed taking stabs at people and twisting the knife every time he caught flesh. For whatever reason, it made him feel empowered, knowing that he could mess with peoples' emotions like that.
Not long after he graduated high school and headed off to college in California did his mom contract inoperable cancer. The rest of the family pleaded with Jamie to come home, but he couldn't force himself to see her suffer. Sure, he came home on holidays and such, but to have to see her pain every day, he couldn't do that. At that point he started distancing himself from his family, having convinced himself that the further he got from them, the less all of this would hurt him. After about a year, she passed away, and still unwilling to confront his own emotions, he refused to attend her funeral, which put him even more at odds with his family.
Shortly after her death, Jamie dropped out of college and got a job in Hollywood with basically one of the lowest level jobs at a production firm, and slowly worked his way up. He eventually got himself up to the point of being an actual script writer when he was somewhere between 21 and 22, in conjunction with several other people, and got himself a few minor roles in acting as well... mostly just as "guest" appearances on television shows, but hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? With his "new found talent", people started taking notice of him in the higher offices of the world of television, and when he was about 23 he landed his first role as "co-director" through various loop-holes of someone he knows knowing someone that knows somebody else and all that jazz. That was when he really got notice. He had this shocking ability to make people feel exactly what he wanted them to feel, and when he did that... well, the actors he worked with only seemed to get better, and with that, he started making his fortunes.
At 25, he decided that he needed an "extended vacation." He was in somewhat high demand, so he decided they could all just work around his schedule. He didn't have anything in production, so he could just work on scrips from somewhere more low key, and with that, he moved to Chicago. Considering that he had more money than he knew what to do with and could just throw money at whatever he jolly well pleased, he decided that he wanted to be like those rich people who had incredible horses, and ended up purchasing a 21 year old thoroughbred by the name of "Commander's Battle Cry" who was now retired from his glory days of having been pretty high up there as far as high end competitors went, and had competed at Rolex many years back. No, Jamie didn't ride, he'd never ridden in his life... he just wanted the posterity of owning such a horse. Not to say he didn't take care of the animal. The same way he took care of the other animals he owned, he looked after the horse and made certain it got the best care available, which he found at Caramel Rivers. It was basically just a big pet to him, and spent most of his time out in the pasture just living the life any horse would love to have.

Calm, reserved, the voice of reason, level headed, positive, encouraging, always knowing the right thing to say or do... that was how everyone saw Anthony. Yes, he had his moment... and yes, that is in singular form. The only time anyone had ever seen Anthony any less than completely level headed was when Alex left after Alessandra's death... and even then, it wasn't like he was completely thrown off, he was just following the example of everyone around him by burying himself in his work... and his work just so happened to be riding a mostly insane thoroughbred race horse around the track with the extremely high risk of getting himself injured or killed in the process of doing so. Yes, it was true, at that point Doubt had been still rather violent on the track and honestly dangerous... but Anthony didn't care. It took extreme concentrated power of will to keep his mind off Alex, and it took extreme concentrated power of will to control Doubt, so really, it was the perfect thing to keep him sane while she was gone.
So much had happened to them in the past two years. Anyone who knew Anthony could attest that he normally did things fast. He grew up fast, he became a jockey fast, he made decisions fast, he rode horses fast... he certainly never wasted time... but no one would have guessed that he was the sort of guy to fall in love and get married as quickly as he did. but Anthony knew Alex was the one he wanted to spend his life with. Don't ask how he knew, because he didn't really know... all he knew was that he loved her, and that was more than enough reason for him. Every moment he spent with her he fell more in love with her. Even after they were married. She had him wrapped around he finger from the moment he first met her... even when her insane horse tried to kill him.
The day of their wedding was one of the happiest of his life. That happiness kept his nerves level and calm all day up until the point that he was standing at the front of the crowd anxiously awaiting the arrival of his bride It seemed like an eternity passed by, and with every second, his calm and collected cool seemed to fade. He wasn't sure why he was nervous... he knew this was what he wanted, and he knew this was what Alex wanted, so why he was nervous was a mystery to him. Maybe it was because the end of his life as he knew it was coming to an end, and a whole new thing was starting... something better... something far more glorious than he ever could have imagined. Alex was that one girl he had been looking for all his life. Sure, it never seemed to anyone else that he was looking or even interested in a relationship... but like every guy, it was there, and he was looking for someone to spend the rest of his life with. That someone was Alex.
Now here they were, nearly to their one year anniversary and Alex and their baby could be lying there dying and there was nothing he could do about it. His heart was pounding in his chest and he was sure all of Pinewood could hear it. This wasn't supposed to happen... he wasn't supposed to have her for only a year just to lose her... they weren't supposed to get through nine months of her pregnancy just to lose their baby... this wasn't the way it was supposed to go. They were supposed to have their happily ever after, they were supposed to grow old together, she was supposed to force him to finally retire before he killed himself on the track, they were supposed to watch their kids graduate and get married... it wasn't supposed to end so soon and without any sort of warning.
He didn't know how long he had been there... for all he knew it could have been hours, but the stress and the worry combined with his involuntary intolerance of hospital sterilization was all building up and had started the slightest shaking in his hands. Without Alex this life wouldn't be worth it... and he couldn't think of anything but what would happen if she didn't make it through this. He hardly heard the first nurse that came out and told him they thought they were going to lose the baby. As horrible as it sounds, that actually gave him a little hope. Yes, he would be devastated if their son died, but she said nothing of Alex, that had to be a good sign for Alex... that had to mean she was alright. He could get through anything so long as she was with him, and even if the baby was lost, at least he would still have...We're losing her...
His thoughts were jerked sharply away from that little glimmer of hope that had managed to cut through the ever growing feeling of despair. Those words echoed in his mind over and over again. His wife was dying and there was nothing he could do about it. Anthony just stood there for what seemed like ages, too shocked to respond, too terrified to move, too horrified at the concept of living without Alex to do anything. He barely felt the hand on his shoulder, and it didn't even register in his mind that it was his younger, yet much taller brother standing beside him breathlessly. His assurance that she would be alright fell on seemingly deaf ears. The concept of life without Alex had never even occurred to him before now, and all of a sudden his whole world was shattering into a million tiny shards that could never be put together again.
All he could hear and all he could think about was that Alex was dying... and that he couldn't possibly be a dad without her. Yes, he knew how to take care of a child, he'd been helping her with Ale for about a year now... but taking care of a child and being a parent were two entirely different things, and Anthony was in no way cut out to be a single dad. He wasn't like Charlie... he couldn't balance his work and his child, he couldn't multi-task, he could hardly take care of himself well enough to get by, how was he supposed to take care of a baby without his wife around? Everything he knew was turning upside down and he couldn't do anything to fix it... and Anthony was the kind of guy who needed to fix things. From the horses he rode to the friends he had... there was always the need to fix things, and that was what attracted him to those things... but now here he was, completely helpless to do anything... and his world was slipping out of his fingers like sand in the tide.
He wasn't quite sure how he got there, but when the world suddenly resumed it's hectic and unforgiving pace, he was standing outside the nursery window, and just on the other side of the glass was a tiny baby boy with "Lovasz" written on his wrist band, and standing there beside him was Andrew. He didn't know how long his brother had been there, and if he had said anything in the past... however long it had been since the nurse had said they were losing her... he sure hadn't heard it. It was fairly clear by the look on his face that he was just completely lost and had no idea what to do. Alex was his world, and he needed her to survive. He wanted nothing more than for her to be alright... to wake up and find out this was all just a horrible horrible nightmare.
The baby was just a little hope to him... at least he wasn't losing everything. He didn't have a clue how he would get by without Alex, but at least he hadn't lost both of them. He knew all too well that today was supposed to be the happiest day of his life... but how could he possibly be happy when they just told him his wife was dying. This baby needed his mom. He was beginning to realize how Tyler felt when Alessandra died when their baby was born. It was a horrible sinking feeling... he knew he should be happy that their child was alive, but he just couldn't seem to get his mind off losing his wife, and it was killing him. Their son needed both of his parents, and if Alex didn't survive... well, he might not get either of his parents. Anthony relied on Alex completely... as pathetic as it sounded... when he gave her that ring, when he said I do... he gave her his heart, and promised her forever. He simply couldn't comprehend forever ending so soon.
