basic appearance, Hayley is what you could commonly call "pretty”. She may have her flaws, but she wears them in such a way that it doesn't distract her or draw attention to them. She keeps up with exercise to ensure she maintains her trim figure but is blessed with curves that are no over the top; her body shape is generally slender with curves, she’s not a skinny person and never wants to be, she’s happy with herself. Her skin tone is usually that perfect shade of tan, during summer it’s real but during winter its more fake and residual summer tan.
Have you ever noticed how girls with curly hair want straight hair and vice versa? Well Hayley loves her curls but likes to straighten her hair occasionally for something different. Her hair is a dark brown almost black and she doesn’t like to dye it, she retains her natural color and is lucky with the fact that she loves its color. Only problem Hayley faces with her hair is that it can take some time in the morning to deal with, and its her hair in the morning that usually takes the most time – if she feels like it; occasionally she just tosses it up with only a quick swipe through with the hairbrush and then pulling it up into a ponytail; somehow though her hair looks well loved and as a glossy sheen to it. Out of personal preference she has it long, generally about shoulder to mid-back depending on her mood. She generally wears a light layer of makeup and has dark eyeliner as it brings up the exceptional blue of her eyes. She wears simple jewellery, but doesn’t wear anything at riding. Her lips are usually not covered in lipstick but just a gloss or a moistureriser balm to keep them moist and not let them dry out, so they tend to look a bit shiny – not intentional.
She has those types of legs that when you wear a dress they seem to go on forever. Usually clad in skinny jeans or jodhpurs they’re long and slender. She tends to wear tight fitting tops that show of more of her body, (her mother used to tell her to “flaunt what you have darling, because as you get older, you may lose it”) she wears a silver bracelet at all time except at riding that sits about mid-lower arm its band has an inscription that says ”quand la vie vous lance une balle courbe, il a frappé sur le parc” which is French for “when life throws you a curve ball, hit it out of the park”. Her father gave it to her as an eighteenth birthday gift and she wears it all the time. Her arms are a good toned shape and her underlying muscle looks good but not overly obvious; riding horses keeps her in good shape and makes the muscles on her arms and shoulders. However, no matter how much muscle Hayley keeps on in her arms, they will always be too bulky, she likes the strength she has but feels she has guy-like arms and envied her friends in school with skinnier arms. She doesn't usually let any problems she has with her body affect her life, but she works hard to keep herself happy with a balance of what she wants, and what she's got.
But like everyone else, no one is perfect and Hayley deals with the issue of bushy eyebrows; she constantly has to be plucking them to maintain their shapely look. While Hayley usually doesn't stress too much over her appearance, this is the one thing that bothers her. While she loves her legs she has some stretch marks higher up where she went through a quick growth spurt when she was younger, she hids them under clothes but is self-conscious of them when she wears bikinis; she'd started using a product called "Bio-oil" to see if she can get them to fade, but so far no such luck. Another thing Hayley struggles with that most people don't realise is her weight and the way her body looks. She works hard to maintain her trim figure but doesn't enjoy the slight "pot-belly" she gets, wishing it were flatter; her mother always told her that it was normal, but it's always been an annoyance to her. While Hayley would never do something as drastic as stop eating, she does occasionally over-do the exercise thing in her quest for a flatter tummy.
Hayley’s eyes have often been described – by her mother and close friends – as the ocean in a mirror. They are such an exceptional blue that they don’t seem to match her dark locks but are more suited to a girl with blonde hair. However Hayley loves her eyes and their ability to sparkle, she feels that they are her best attribute and loves making them “pop” by adding darker makeup around her eyes and making them stand out more. Her best friend and neighbour back home in Kansas used to tease that she had those “get lost in your eyes” type of eyes and would often exclaim she was “drowning in them” before bursting out laughing. But her eyes are very expressive and sometimes people say they are like an open book into her emotions, and while she tries hard to hide her feelings, it isn’t always so, and her eyes are the always the first place to look when you want to know what she’s feeling.
Hayley’s style is simple and nothing over the top. She loves to wear solid colors and generally wears pants or shorts. She likes to wear clothes that accentuate her body but doesn’t like to flaunt over-much; despite what her mother said. She is trend conscious and will admit that she does care about what people think of her when she goes out; she likes to look nice, even if she’s just going out to ride her horses. She likes to keep old favourites and knows her horses come first and spends more money on them and her dog Lou then she does on clothes.

likes , horses, fast cars, netball, boys, people who are happy with themselves no matter what they look like, water, having friends, a few drinks on a Friday night, sleeping late in the mornings, hugging people.
dislikes , buses – her little brother was hit and killed by one, being upset, fighting – Hayley doesn’t like conflict, people who always think they’re right – even if their not, the prospect of death, people who think they’re better then everyone else and are obnoxious about it.
overall personality , Ever heard of the saying, “curiosity killed the cat?”; well Hayley is the definition of the saying. She has an overly curious nature and loves to know everything and everything and everybody; this is often a bad trait as she blurts out continuous questions and has been labelled as “nosy” on more then one occasion. Her curiosity has also led her into some sticky situations and since moving from home to be on her own she has been trying desperately to change her ways and not be so nosy into other peoples lives – and she might not be so successful in the beginning, but with hard work she hopes she will be content with what she knows about everything to not look into things too closely when she shouldn’t.
She is also an extremely bubbly, friendly and outgoing girl, who enjoys a party and spending time with mates in any type of setting; from in their pyjamas at home watching a movie to being out on the town in high heels and a skirt that could stand to be a few inches longer. Her friendly nature means that she gets along with just about everyone; but that doesn’t mean people always like her, some can’t stand her “in your face with a grin” kind of attitude and prefer her to keep out of their personal space. Hayley sometimes forgets she’s so out there and happy that she can get on peoples nerves when she chatter’s at them – which brings us to another trait of the Wyatt girl, she’s a wee bit of a chatter-box. When she was younger it would often be difficult to shut her up and she could always be guaranteed to fill any awkward silence with a constant stream of absolute nonsense. As she matured though, her chattering as become less but she still goes for broke when no one else seems to be talking and always wants to strike up a conversation with everyone.
While Hayley might seem a bit of a wild child and a bit of spaz she’s also neat; she prefers thing to be away and not on the floor of her apartment but she doesn’t fuss over it. She likes keeping things as uncluttered as possible but doesn’t mind the occasional mess; she likes to look clean and tidy though and doesn’t usually wear the same outfit if its gotten dirty and definitely has a “horse riding” section in her wardrobe. Hayley also hates conflict, she doesn’t like to get into arguments and therefore is often the less dominant in the conversation; while she’ll talk about anything if anyone else is talking she’ll keep quiet until she feels she can find an opening to add her two cents so to speak. She doesn’t like arguing and therefore usually will agree most of the time even if she doesn’t think the other person is right – she will however revisit the conversation again to see if she can’t make the other person see her side too.
Hayley is also fiercely loyal to all her friends and family; if she says she’ll be your friend she means it and won’t be “fake” about it. If she’s told a secret, she’ll keep it and never tell unless instructed she can – this is sometimes a contradiction with her chatter-box side and she also enjoys gossip. She’ll often listen to gossip and spread it on, but never ever start it. Another trait that is both a positive and negative is that she is very trusting. She always likes to think the best of everyone, even if she’s been warned that they’re no good or mean or whatever; she believes in the benefit of the doubt and giving second chances. Sometimes her trusting nature has led her into tricky and sticky situations but most times she’s managed to get herself out or with a little help fixes the problem she’s in.
Like some girls, she’s a huge romanticist; she loves those old school movies with the happy endings and the sappy lined kisses and the love moments. She’s also an old fashioned romantic in that she believes that the boy should ask her out and won’t usually take the forefront and make the first move – this has sometimes led to guys thinking she’s not interested when she is, she’s just waiting for them. She also loves those first kiss moments and adores hugging people and being touched – and little weird I know, but she loves human contact in any form – especially the romantic kind like snuggling and kisses; but she also likes just being with people, holding hands or just chatting away. Being a romantic she can come off as wary or nervous, but she isn’t, ask her out and she usually says yes, even if it’s only for just the first date and no more. She likes to be the “girl” in the relationship and let the guy take the reins; because she avoids conflict she’s never had the “messy relationship” that often make girls want to be more independent. While Hayley is independent, she never minds just going with flow, doing as she’s told or being a bit of a “sheep” and following the crowd.

history ,
Years 0-5
Hayley was born to Lillian and David Wyatt eighteen months after the couple first married. They were living in a separate cabin on David’s family estate just outside a small town in Kansas, USA. It was a difficult pregnancy for Lillian and when their baby girl was finally born prematurely, by caesarean, they thought her a miracle; her name literally means “hay meadow” and her parents thought is apt for their location of the cabin in a meadow of sorts on the family farm. When Hayley was finally bought home from the hospital, she was doted upon by both parents, her grandparents and the indulgent workers on the large property whenever Lillian brought her down to the barn with her. For two years, Hayley lived as an only child.
When Hayley was two, she welcomed the newest addition of their family, her baby brother Ryan. And although Hayley herself was only a toddler she took an immense liking to her brother and would take to sitting beside him and playing with her toys beside him, pretending to read books as soon as she could talk and chatting to him non-stop. She was also her baby brother official translator and any sound that came from the boy’s mouth was promptly given meaning by the growing Hayley. As Hayley got older she began to wander around the cabin on her own, walking to the paddock and feeding the horses over the fence carrots she’d stolen from the vegetable garden. It was then that David took his daughter down to the barn and plonked onto the back of the oldest horse on the farm and led her round the stable yard, smiling and at her gleefully squeals.
Her love affair with horses started then and there was only bested by her adoration of her brother. At five Hayley was allowed to ride out with her dad on his checks on the perimeter on board her little fat Shetland Ace. Her brother Ryan, now three would often fuss in the absence of his sister and eventually David and Lillian would make the perimeter checks a family affair with Lil holding Ryan in a baby carrier on her back, David on his horse and Hayley bouncing along on her little Shetland; their dogs running around the horses legs, yapping and jumping listening to Hayley’s constant stream of conversation on everything from the sky’s color to the way a bumble bee was black and yellow.
Years 6-10
At six Hayley began to attend the local school and while she never struggled, she preferred to be at home out with the horses rather than stuck in a classroom listening to the teacher talk about the alphabet. Hayley was not a natural at school, but was not completely hopeless either. Middle of the range she was an average student but never failed; she made friends with everyone from the Principal to the girls both older and younger then her. She also began to attend horse shows around 7; while this might be late for some children her parents decided to keep her away from the competition until she was a little older and wouldn’t let wins go to her head to much. But winning was never the main objective for Hayley – while she did love to win, she always wanted to have fun and during her later pre-teens she helped (more of a small hindrance) groom at her parents shows, marshalling her younger brother around and handing out snacks to the official grooms at every opportunity.
Locally everyone knew the dark haired beauty and even at ten she had guys watching her wander by, her hand wrapped tightly around her brothers. The duo were inseparable; once Ryan started school in Hayley’s third year, she couldn’t have been happier. She introduced him to everyone and they were usually never refereed to as singles but as the “Wyatt’s”. Life was simply routine, she got up in the morning, helped out in the barn with as much as she could at this age and then got both herself and her brother ready for school and out to the main gate to greet the school bus as it rolled up in a cloud of dust.
Years 11-15
Being 11, 12 and 13 passed without much incident, although she began to want to do more girly things with her friends and began to become a separate person from her brother. While Ryan let her got willingly, he still tended to dog her and her friends around the playground – he’d grown up with her constantly by her side and he was having difficulty letting her slip away. While Hayley dearly loved her little brother, she wanted more independence from him and started to push him away; while at home they were still close, at school and around her friends, she wanted a life away from him – like all girls at this age. Her love for show-jumping began to appear at this age too and she also began to work with her parents as they began to breed horses for jumping. Turning 12 was also marked by the death of both her grandparents – within 6 months of each other; and while she missed them, the farm went from mainly cattle farming to begin to develop a name as a show jumping barn which developed young horses from mating all the way to early competitions before they were sold on. Her parents let her help as best she could, and as she began to grow taller her parents let her ride the older horses at home to keep them in work.
Her 14th year was marked by such a major tragedy that she was in fact, never the same again. One fateful spring afternoon near the end of the school year, Hayley and her best friend who lived on the property opposite her family home were ditching Ryan at the gate to the Wyatt’s place and bouncing across the rode toward Renee’s house. Hayley had instructed her brother to take himself and Hayley’s school bag home to their parents and to let them know she was with Renee; so as Renee and Hayley left, Ryan headed down the driveway toward the house. Some half way down he stopped, dropped both bags and started going back after Hayley, wanting nothing more then to join in their fun; he was twelve. The girls could hear him calling but ignored him, too busy chatting and too absorbed to notice the other school bus rolling up in a cloud of dust; it didn’t stop at the Wyatt’s stop, but carried on further down the road. Ryan’s attention was not on the bus but rather the girls, still calling, both girls still ignoring him. He didn’t check, the bus driver never saw him, as Ryan went flying across the road thinking he could beat the bus... the rest can be guessed, Hayley heard the thump and the crunch, heard the screams, turned and added her own to the noise.
She blames herself for the accident, still to this day. For a while she didn’t do anything more then move like a zombie, retreating into herself, withdrawing from everyone and cocooning herself in depression and misery. While she was never clinically diagnosed as depressed her parents always suspected she went through a mild form of it. For riding went down hill for a year and they sold her pony as she spent more time in her room and less time outside; to this day Hayley hates buses and the clouds of dust they form... they terrify her and she has nightmares that leave her disorientated and wound up.
Years 16-20
On her sixteenth birthday, she began to emerge again from her shell and began to wander from her room out into the barn again, spent hours sitting on the paddock fence watching the horses graze in their pastures. Hayley began to return, her love for the horses began to help numb the pain and she began to work again with the youngsters, leased horses from family friends – her parents were unsure to buy her, her own horse until she showed she was ready to re-commit. They never forced her, just waited; later into her teens she began to return to the show circuit and on her eighteenth birthday her father gave her his big black Hanoverian star Black Jack II. Hayley fell in love with the horse and enjoyed competing him, enjoyed working with the young horses; and as she was now old enough she could help work them through all aspects of their training, even by herself.
As she grew older she was still forever haunted by the memory of her brother; she saw him everywhere, and while her parents still suffered they had immersed themselves in their work and Hayley and had healed some years earlier. But Hayley felt she could not heal enough, even 5-6 years since the accident. She made the decision to move away from home and began to research riding communities which offered town life; as she’d come out of her depression she’d began to join her friends again on their trips to larger towns and out to other friends for parties and found she loved the vibe of being around people.
During her later teens, family friends began to give Hayley a horse or two to work and compete so they could sell them with some experience under their belts – Hayley’s latest project is Addy. Hayley planned, talked to friends who’d moved away and while her parents reluctantly let her go, she chose Caramel Rivers and moved; brought with her Jack and Addy, found a job as a cashier at the Golden Horseshoe Tack Store and began to try and forge new memories she felt were not haunted by the shadow of her brother. While she’s fast discovering she didn’t leave him all behind in Kansas she is beginning to heal properly; who knows now what her future holds, at 20-years-old she’s still young and rearing to get a new outlook on life.
